First off I would like to apologize for how long it has taken me to update everyone! We have had a couple ups and downs lately! A couple weeks ago our cousin Greg from TN came up for a weekend. We all had a good weekend celebrating mine and my brothers birthdays! Then last weekend we had our aunt and uncle up from Missouri for the weekend! It was really good for dad and he had a great time!
We are coming to the end of all of the treatments, and the wait for more test results is starting to set in. Dad has shaved his head due to his hair starting to fall out...he looks really good though! We have learned how to control his cough a lot better, but it seems to really catch up with him at night! Other than that he is doing fairly good! His attitude and appetite have both increased and become healthy again! We are all very proud of him and very thankful for everyday we have with him!
The doctors have decided to take off 2 of dads radiations. This is because some of the levels of his lung function that they watch during treatment has reached higher than it should. Which means dad is in a higher percentile of something happening to him with his lungs and heart. I apologize that this is so vague and it might not make sense... I had the doctor explain it twice to me and still this is all I got out of it. I will try to learn more about it and fill everyone in!
We are all holding up pretty good! We all have bonded a little more throughout this whole experience and has brought us closer together! We are very thankful for all of our friends and family who have been there for us through all of this as well!
So the count down begins 5-6 more radiations and 2 more weeks of chemo!!!!!
Thank you everyone again for everything and I hope everyone is having a safe and fun St. Pattys Day!
