Hospital Visit

This past weekend dad was having some pain in his back.  Sunday it got unbearable and mom took him to the Urgent Care.  Come to find out he has another kidney stone which is about 1/2 of an inch.  He was transferred to St. Joes Mercy in Ann Arbor Sunday night.  This morning I went up there and stayed with him, he received a stint that goes from his kidney to his bladder.  Its there to keep it open so that the stone doesn't block his urethra (which is what it was doing). This is just a temporary fix, he will need to get it blasted out in the very near future.  After he woke up he was feeling so much better!  He was joking around with me and getting out of bed!  He also received 2 units of blood because his red blood cells were low.  Once he was given permission to eat he really couldn't because of the burning in his esophagus.  Mom ended up coming up after she got off work and sat with us and had dinner with me.  He is doing much better and we are hoping he will come home tomorrow.
We will keep everyone updated on his progress!!!
